After Releasing the New Asus Zenfone 4 in 2017, Asus Started pushing its Official apps to zenfone 4 devices which support Android N. Zenfone 3, Zenfone 2 Users cant download them from play store because Asus made this only available for zenfone 4.


Thanks god we have People around us who always help us on developing and freedom.. here our member of XDA have provided us The complete package of Asus ZenUI 4.0 with all the updated apps from play-store of date 26 / aug / 2017. You can download and install them if you want to feel ZenUI 4.0. I am providing details and download link for the files..



Whats New ?

Well there are a lot of customization over the UI for most of the apps.. I just dont want to say anything.. Just install them and try it out..

Note : These apps are made to be work on Android N, There might be some issue or bug in some of the devices..

I have uploaded all the files in Google Drive and provided the download link below. Download them and then unzip them and then you will get all the APKs mentioned above in the list.
Install them like you install any other apps.

Some of them are marked with RED colour which says Android Nougat Only so you have to install Android N in order to install them.

How to get Android N ?

You can Search for Lineage OS 14.1 and install, After that you can use the apps which are marked as Android N only..

DOWNGRADE FROM MM TO LP ASUS ZENFONE 2 LASER ZE550KL 100% WORKING METHOD.


Today we will Continue with a new tutorial that will work 100% for everyone. Previously i have posted a ADB method to downgrade but after Looking for user comment i found that an error occurs while loading ZIP file.

Me too experienced the same. So i decided to create another tutorial that will help users to Downgrade from Android Marshmallow to Lollipop without any issue.
We are facing a lot of issue in Android Marshmallow because of unfixed bugs. Also WW SKU users got a update that will Upgrade Baseband ( MODEM ) version that will allow the phone to catch 4g VoLte Signals. As we all know asus for there faulty Updates, This time also the same thing happen.
Few got Updated to volte but other didn't.. Even they have upgraded the firmware but the Baseband version wont able to capture VoLte Signal..  Whatsoever we can expect a New Update is comming to hit the phone to fix The Baseband Issue..



Instructions :

  1. Download The ADB and Stock Recovery |  Click Here    Password is = www.zenfonehelp.com
  2. Download the Firmware that you want to Downgrade. | Click Here 
  3. Now copy the Firmware file to ExtSDcard ( Memory Card )
  4. TurnOff The phone and go to Fastboot Mode ( Press Volume up + power Button at the same time and hold for 3 seconds )
  5.  Now Extract the Downloaded file in Step 1
  6. Now open cmd.bat file and that will open a command window in the ADB and Recovery Folder
  7. now type Fastboot Devices to verify your phone is connected to PC properly.( If yes then you will see your devices Serial number in that command window )
  8. Now type the command Below

    * fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    *fastboot oem reboot-recovery
  9. Now choose applay Update from Sdcard
  10. choose the ZIP firmware file which you have downloaded in step 2 and copyed to SDcard in step 3
  11.  wait for a While it will take upto 15-20 minute for the process to complete.. Dont touch or do anything while it is ongoing else you will brick the phone..

NOTE: After complete of the process You have to reboot your device and this time your phone will took more time to bootUP dont be panic..

Android M is a big Target for Asus to be completed by Q2 of 2016. Some of the device also got update but the ammount of bugs is infinite.
After looking for few weeks Asus have pulldown the update on OTA as well as in the website too.
ZenTalk forms filled of complain reports, So moderaors have only one thing to say that" There is some server issue so update is not avilable for now and there is no fixed time for the update procedure to start". We will know that the problem is in Android M not in server :D


So after a week of this cenario a new update notification apear on some Laser devices. And now i can see that the Moderator have been posted the details about new update on ZenTalk

About the ZE551ML / ZE5500ML asus is not saying anything. Its becuase this device is on the top list of BUGS. So Zenfone 2 users have to wait till Asus consider somthing about it.

Even the version are same but the new update file which is recently uploaded to Asus website is diffrent. The size of the First update file is 1.56GB and the one which is uploaded at 1/7/2016 is 1.62GB so i am thinking that there is some modificatin have done by Asus so those peoples who have already upgraded they can Dowgrade from THIS tutorial and download the new file and update again.. There might be some bug fix but as per reports the Battery drainage is still a problem.

Android M update in Asus Zenfone Series is a great thing. Through which I could not find any major update. As I Expected that Asus will include RAW Image feature but no, They didn't.

Meanwhile, a lot of other users are experiencing problems like Battery Drainage, Camera problem etc. So I decided to make a tutorial on Downgrading.
I have tested this on my Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL and it works.
I have Downgraded From Version V21.40.1220.1615 to 1.12.40..349


INSTRUCTIONS:

Download Your respective phone FIRMWARE from Asus Website.


  1.  Put that into phones External Storage
  2.  Turn off the phone and go to recovery mode.
  3.  Press on "Apply Update from SDcard" 
  4.  Now Wait for a while it will complete the installation.
  5. If it shows any error then move back to older version of Downgrade firmware.

Android M update has been revoked for Zenfone 2 ZE551ML / ZE550ML after releasing It.

Asus has planned to Release Android M in the Q2 of  2016 for its various laser and zenfone 2 devices. Also, beta testers are recruited to test the OS stability.

From the starting of this month, Asus started releasing Android M update to its various device. All of the devices which runs on Qualcomm processors got the update IE: ZenFone Laser ZE500KL,ZE550KL, and Zenfone max.  
Still users commenting that they found some critical bug in this new update IE:BATTERY Drainage problem, Asus have a form to communicate with users and now the form is full of bug list. 

All through Asus has maintained his users using some techniques and moderators on the form. I am a blogger of Zenfone and a lot of visitors complain me about various bugs, So I make the thread form and so Moderators know about it in ZenTalk. I am also a Zenfone 2 Laser user and I am facing huge Battery drainage bug.

After all, Asus finally released Android M update to its Intel-based processor phones, Zenfone 2 ZE551Ml, ZE550ML. 
I suddenly saw on social media Screenshots of Android M Update. It was a delay for the Intel-based phone because when Asus come out with its device list which will get Android M there the Intel-based phone is on top so users are thinking that Zenfone 2 Intel based phone will get the update first. 
When it came to an end of Q2 Asus still didn't say anything about intel based phone but Qualcomm based phones got the update, some users really got anger. XD

After all, I ask Asus that why is so delay for Intel Atom based phones .. Asus replied that " Intel In not helping us with the latest driver required us to port Android M for the phone"

This might be the reason the device got the update later. Now a few days ago Asus has released Android M for Intel Atom based phone but that gone Wrong.
some users complained about HUGE BUG  so Asus have to forcefully shut down the update process.
After the update released I check in ZenTalk for the Release notes and also I checked in Download section but still I can't find anything. 
But Users are still posting about bug's in Zen talk and Moderators are helping them out. 
I managed to get the OTA Download link from a user so I linked that into my Zenfone 2 Android M blog post. After 1 day I found that the OS has been removed by Asus. It was like an experiment on the Zenfone 2 Users

I personally think intel also has some problem and Asus too. Beta testers have been taken still bugs. And Even the spelling of ANDROID in OTA update was also wrong.. :D 
What we can expect with this multinational company.

Official Android M For Asus ZenFone 2 Finally Released


Its been Asus's 4th device followed by Asus Zenfone 2 laser ZE500KL --> Zenfone 2 Laser ZE550KL -->Zenfone MAX ZC550KL --> Zenfone 2 ZE551ML / ZE550ML got Android M system upgrade.


After a lot of waiting time and bug fix by Asus, Now Android M is also available for Asus Zenfone 2.
There is no doubt that Beta testing for this device is started earlier than any other, still this device got update little bit late. It's due to Intel Atom processor. As per official report --> Asus is asking for latest Intel ATOM driver but intel is not cooperating with Asus so this company is facing huge BUG problem while PORTING a complete OS to its Intel ATOM processor based Device.

Without any further due let's move to the instruction and download part.

Installation Procedure:

  1. Download the ZIP firmware file for your device
  2. Copy the file in your device SDcard
  3. Remove the USB cable
  4. Click on the Notification to upgrade system
  5. Choose system update file and press on ok
  6. Your device will be rebooted and upgraded.
  7. Perform a Factory Reset and clear cache because it's a SYSTEM UPGRADE.
OR you can do it also using ADB method.

Zenfone 2 users are reporting about a malicious bug eating up their storage space.


From few days, ZenFone 2 users are reporting a strange problem. Users complaining about the Storage full issue of their devices. Users are keep asking about this bug that eating Gigabyte of memory storage.



Now the bug was identified. This a Bug that creates big size of log files on your phone. Unfortunately, you can't delete them because that is system LOG therefore you need root permission to delete it. 

Finally, Asus came up with its patch. It will help you to clear all big log files and give you back your important storage space. Download links are below

Finally Asus announced the Time Frame for ANDROID 6.0 Marshmellow Update. 


Asus finally provided the information about the release of Andorid 6.0 for various Asus devices. It's a good news for all users having Zenfone 2 devices.

In Zentalk(Asus Form) the Admin has posted that the update will be rollout in the month Q2(April,May and June) of 2016. It is not the exact date but we can assume that the update will come within this three month.



As per the rollout plan, Zenfone 2 will be the first model to receive the update then other Zenfone 2 Laser devices, Zenfone MAX ,ZOOM and Selfile. The devices and the model number which will receive update is given below.

    1.  Zenfone 2(ZE550ML,ZE551ML)
    2. Zenfone 2 Delux (ZE551ML)
    3. Zenfone 2 Delux Special eddition (ZE551ML)
    4. Zenfone 2 Laser (ZE500KL, ZE550KL,ZE601KL)
    5. Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL)
    6. Zenfone MAX(ZC550KL)
    7. Zenfone ZOOM(ZX551ML)

Upgrade Ssenario- Google Messanger, Calender, and Gmail apps will automatically be included with the Android M upgrade. These apps will replace three ZenUI apps- ASUS messanger ,ASUS mail and ASUS calender- as the default apps in the Android M verion of Zenfone if you restore to factory setting after the update.





But if you restore to factory setting after the update then , ASUS messanger,ASUS mail and ASUS calender can be downloaded from Play Store.

After all i am also  Asus Zenfone 2 Laser user and I am too watting for the update. I have lots of excitement and hope with this BIG update. I hope ASUS will release a bug free OS for Everyone.

- Contact Number
- Address with Pin code
- Unit Serial Number
- Problem

Step 3:

The call center will respond to your query and provide the solution to you accordingly.

Step 4: 

If the problem is not resolved then, the Call center will close the case... but if the problem still persists then check STEP 5 below

Step5:

 If the problem is not resolved then, the Call center will offer following services to you
-  Carry-in service ( The call center will guide you to nearest Service center from your location).
- Pickup And Return Service(PUR)- You are eligible for this if your location more than 50KM away from any service center

 Step 6: 

If you are eligible for pickup and return and in case that you opt for the pickup and return service then, the call center will create a case and information the case ID to you.

 Step 7:

The Call center will then inform your about the Procedure of pickup and return

 Step 8:

Asus will verify all the details and will arrange the pickup through the Forwarder.

 Step 9:

The Forwarder will deliver an Empty Box to your premises.

 Step 10:

Then you may pack the faulty material or device and inform the Forwarder.

 Step 11: 

The forwarder will pick up from given your location and deliver to RMA

 Step 12: 

Once the repairing done by RMA, The forwarder will pick up the Material/Device and deliver it to you(Free Of Cost)

Install Android M Cyanogen MOD 13 in Asus Zenfone 2 (Z00A / Z008 )


Hi, 
       Cyanogen 13 is running on android 6.0 and we should happy that we are getting this update. Now we can test Android 6.0 because Asus Didn't release it officially for the Zenfone Series. But we can do the installation and still we have a chance to enjoy a powerful OS Cyanogen.

#Instructions:

  1. Make sure that you are rooted and Bootloader unlocked.

  3. SwitchOff Your device. Press & hold power+Volume UP+ Volume Down button. this will take your device to TWRP recovery  ( Download and install TWRP recovery, Link are in download Section.)
  4. Swipe to Install. Wait for the message, Install Successful! Now you have to flash GApps package, GO back to Install.Select Gapps package & Swipe to install
  5. Now Clear Cache & Dalvik Cache. That's all You have to do. reboot the Phone and you are ready to use Cyanogen MOD 13 In Asus Zenfone 2.

Yes!! It is now Officially confirmed that Asus will working on Android 6.0 for the Second generation of Asus Android Phones.



 Asus have recently launched a series of Zenfones that are more powerful in software as well as in hardware so the second generations Zenfone will get Update of Android Marshmallow. Unfortunately Asus First generation phone may not get the update. Its because Asus Zenfone 4/5/6 have hardware limitations. There is no official time-table for the update but it has been mentioned that the Zenfone 2 ZE550kl is under develop and testing.

Instruction for Installing ADB,Fastboot :

  1. Download ADB,Fastboot and Drivers
  2. RUN adb-setup-1.4.2.exe ( Run as Administrator )
  3. Press Y/YES to install ADB and Fastboot or N/NO to skip
  4. Press Y/YES to install ADB system-Wide or N/NO to skip
  5. Press Y/YES to install Drivers or N/NO to SKIP 
  6. Continue Driver installation
  7. After 15 Second It will finish



Instruction for ROOTING :

  1. Turn Off the Phone and Boot into fastboot mode ( Press Volume UP while Booting UP)
  2. Now Connect you phone to PC/Laptop Using A proper USB cable
  3. Extract The ROOT Files 
  4. Go to the Extracted ROOT files folder and Then Open Command Window ( Press SHIFT + Right Click  --> Open Command Window here )
  5. In Command Window Type The Command Below

       fastboot boot mod_boot.img
  6. Now you phone will get Auto Rebooted with ROOT Installed.

Automated Version of Rooting :

If your device already has USB dubbing activated and you have the proper ADB driver Installed, You can just use this Script. Just connect your Switched on phone and it will do all the steps.

Hello friends.. Today i have the tutorial to install Firmware using ADB side load. Its the tutorial for any Asus Zenfone but in this tutorial we will focus on Asus Zenfone 2 laser ZE550Kl.


Why do we need this ADB Side Load ?

A: If you are hang on Boot logo, If you phone Stop Working or may be you are facing any problem in your phone then simply you can flash a full firmware to solve the problems.

Now lets start the process..



Files to Download :




Instruction :

  1. Make sure that yo have installed the drivers.
  2. Download The Files Which is in "" Files to Download "" Section.
  3. Now Extract ADB Tools
  4. Turn off the Phone and go to Recovery mode ( Power button + Vol Down button )
  5. Select  Update from ADB
  6. Connect Zenfone 2 Leaser to PC / Laptop Using Proper USB cable.
  7. Now go to ADB folder and Open Command Window ( In ADB folder " Shift + Right Click " --->Open Command Window here )  
  8. In command Window type the Command below

    * adb sideload (file name.zip)

    EXAMPLE: adb sideload UL-Z00L-WW-1.13.40.496-user.zip
  9. Wait until it finish then enjoy.


TIP : IF you are using android 4.4 and you want to downgrade then you can download the firmware and Side load it, this process also knows as Downgrade.

  2. Install Custom Recovery ( Click here If you don't have ) 
  3. Now download and Copy Bilsspop and Gapps file to your SD card.
  4. Turn off phone and boot into recovery mode 
  5. Now flash BLISSPOP ROM and then flash GAPPS from SDcard.
  6. Reboot your phone ( This time boot can take up-to 15-20 minutes )
